Yes, Mr. Donald Trump has had an historic victory. He will be our next President of the United States. I did not vote for him, but I accept the election results because I know that he has been ordained to be by God.
However, as the returns were coming in, my stomach was nervous. I was anxious. I finally decided to go to bed because I couldn’t take it, only to get up about an hour later, and then this:
“But God is the judge, he putteth down one and setteth up another.” Psalm 75:7 KJV
That’s the scripture that came to mind, and from then on I was able to watch the coverage, watch his supporters celebrating, and watch Mr. Trump give a gracious speech.
As I stated before, we must pray for our leaders. We must pray for President-Elect Trump. This is how we live out our profession of faith.
“Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God; the powers that be are ordained of God. Romans 13:1 KJV
The election was hard fought, but it is now over. Now, I pray that our nation will come together.
May God bless America. May he give us hearts to return to him.
I totally agree with everything you said. I also love the scriptures you add. They are so relevant and important. Thank you. I too voted for Hillary and was actually very shocked Trump won and I will be honest and say was very upset and dumbfounded when I found out he won… but after my shock was over I too decided that this is the way it should be. God has a plan and He knew the results before the election even started. I have accepted Trump as our President and can now only pray for him as he has one of the most difficult jobs. I pray he does well.

Sorry I missed this when you posted Barbara!! Might be the best post I’ve seen anywhere!! It doesn’t matter how or why…He got the votes needed to win the presidency of the USA…much to my surprise. What is to my surprise is the non stop attempted shaming of not only Trump, but every person who voted for him. It’s been a real eye opener.

Good post. He did get my vote- or rather the babies in the womb got my vote! I continue to pray for him and God’s guidance for him and those he appoints around himself.

I will hold him accountable, like any public servant. But we certainly aren’t getting anywhere as a kingdom if we get all angsty, refuse to show respect, or fail to pray for the guy. Thanks for the reminder.

Hopefully, we all continue to pray for our leaders and one another to break down as many barriers as we can!

We will continue to pray for our leaders from all levels for wise and good discernment. For those in need and for those spiritually seeking. Also lift one another up in prayer as we continue our walk of faith! Good scripture you gave us too!

Hii. I’m from India. Well, here too people are astonished to see Donal Trump to win this presidency election.
But I’m really perplexed to see all the blogs usually in against of Trump. Cuz’ I really dont get the fact that I’ve mostly seen his haters but then who were the ones who voted him, I mean how did he manage to win?

Hi there – How he managed to win? I see it as being the will of God. Yes, I was surprised, but God was not.
