And God Created Them Male and Female…

God made us male and female, made in his image, made to glorify him. God is our Creator. Our genders are uniquely coded in our DNA which cannot be manipulated or changed.

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. Genesis 1:27

God created us with 23 pairs of chromosomes, which includes one pair of sex chromosomes. Males have both an  X and Y chromosome, while the female chromosomes are both X. Science confirms this. (Check out Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory’s, DNA From the Beginning.)

This, which was once the accepted truth is no longer held as truth. We now determine how we identify according to how we feel.  As a Christian, I know this path that our world now seems to be on is only a further demonstration of our world being under the curse of our sin.

The Apostle Paul described in Romans 1 that as a result of our rebellion, God would just give us over to our rebellion because we preferred lies to his truth.

And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not |seemly|,  Romans 1:28 KJV

The crazy thing about this phenomenon is that the world at large insists that everyone accepts “their truth” as truth; when I am held captive to what the scriptures say.  Why can’t everyone accept my truth, which isn’t just my truth, but the word of God?

What is truth? Jesus said: “I am the way, the truth, and the life. (John 1:14b)  Two plus two will always equal four. Truth doesn’t change. It is reliable. So is the truth of the Bible. Jesus is the same, yesterday and forever, and has not changed the truth.

My position in holding to the word of God is in no way meant to proffer a position of hate, but love; love for the truth. After all, we are all created in the image of God. We are image bearers! We’ve been told that by our Creator.

So, how do we treat fellow image bearers? After telling the Pharisees that the great commandment is to love God with all our heart, soul, and mind, Jesus summed up the second great commandment as this: “Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.” (Matthew 22:39b) The Apostle Paul states it also:

Owe no man any thing, but to love one another, for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. Romans 13:8

The Bible tells me to speak the truth in love. This is my way of doing just that.
