About Barbara Fisher

Hello there. My name is Barbara Fisher and I am a new on the blogosphere. I have thought about doing this for sometime as I can be very opinionated about things and sometimes too much for Facebook. I am a married and the mother of two adult children, and the grandmother of seven. I am a Christian and have recently just moved my membership to a Reformed Baptist Church. I retired December 2012, and that has afforded me this opportunity to not overwhelm Facebook with my thoughts. I hope you find my blog – thought provoking, engaging, and interesting. Please let me know what you think. This is one venue where your feedback is the juice craved to keep going and going.

Twilight Zone

Yes, we have crossed over and entered the Twilight Zone. I barely recognize us. I know I have been ranting lately regarding the state of the chaos going on in our US politics, but I am compelled to speak up.

It is not because I no longer trust that God is ultimately in control. I know that he is. I know that in due time, he will move, and most likely unlike what I would expect.  I know that God’s silence does not mean that he is complicit, but rather quite the opposite. He is giving us time. In fact, Psalm 50 says:

Seeing thou hatest instruction, and castest my words behind thee? When thou sawest a theif, then thou consentedst with him, and hast been partaker with adulterers. Thou givest thou mouth to evil, and thy tongue frameth deceit. Thou sittest and speakest against thy brother; thou slenderest thine own mother’s son. These things hast thou done, and I kept silence. Thou thoughtest that I was althogether such an one as thyself, but I will reprove thee, and set them in order before thine eyes. Now consider this, ye who forget God, lest I tear you to pieces, and there be none to deliver. Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me; and to him who ordereth his |conduct| aright will I show the salvation of God. Psalm 50:17-23 KJV

So, I hope we can somehow hear the clarion call of the few.  I leave you with Senator Jeff Flake’s Op-Ed. Enough already.
