I am about to go to church today. I go to a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic church. We worship our Great God together. We hear the Word of God together. We share our lives with each other. I do this because I need more of him and being there helps me, stretches me, transforms me.
I need more of Christ, especially in times like these when it feels that I am living in a desert void of mutual understanding, love, and respect. He is the one who helps me and will help me to be committed to dwell with those who don’t look like me, don’t understand me. We are all imperfect. We are all but sinners. So, I look to him.
Oh God, thou art my God, early will I seek thee; my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and a thirst land, where no water is. Psalm 63:1 KJV
My response to the Daily Prompt – Desert.
“We are all imperfect. We are all but sinners. So, I look to him.” Ain’t that the truth : ) Love your honesty. Raw and real.

Awesome! The last sentence of your first paragraph is beautiful ! In this time, where it seems like we are becoming more divided, I firmly believe and pray for more people to follow your example! So proud of you!!!
