Before you Google “hoary”, it is simply referred to as gray in the Bible. It says:
The hoary head is a crown of glory, if it be found in the way of righteousness. Proverbs 16:31 KJV
So if gray hair is my crown of glory, why am I constantly washing away my glory? Why do I resist it? Yes, I still can hear that commercial tune.
Although, while I am washing it away, it has become the vogue thing for the youth. Quite a few of them are dyeing their hair grayish/purplish.
We are just never satisfied are we? Another blogger said it best on this: https://plaridel.wordpress.com/2011/04/20/do-the-math-secret-to-staying-young/
For me, I must admit shamefully, it is vanity. Although, I am quite glad to reach the age of 60. Oooooh, that sounds old, huh? But with it, I’ve gained a lot of lessons and wisdom.
So while being a youth is fun, know that it is also fleeting.
My response to the Daily Prompt.
First of all, 60 is young! : ) I remember that commercial. LOL!! It looks so old now. I am constantly washing away my glory, too.

One day. But I can still impart the wisdom, right?

I love your thoughts on this posts. When I was 20 I thought 60 was ancient, now I think 60 is so young.
