About Barbara Fisher

Hello there. My name is Barbara Fisher and I am a new on the blogosphere. I have thought about doing this for sometime as I can be very opinionated about things and sometimes too much for Facebook. I am a married and the mother of two adult children, and the grandmother of seven. I am a Christian and have recently just moved my membership to a Reformed Baptist Church. I retired December 2012, and that has afforded me this opportunity to not overwhelm Facebook with my thoughts. I hope you find my blog – thought provoking, engaging, and interesting. Please let me know what you think. This is one venue where your feedback is the juice craved to keep going and going.

A Coveted Inheritance

While I am not an heir to millions of dollars from some rich uncle, I am an heir to the one who owns all the silver and gold, to the one who says that the cattle on a thousand hills are his. I am an heir, as I have been adopted into the kingdom of God, and stand to inherit eternal life with him.

“But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.” I Peter 2:9 NIV

“Having predestinated us unto the adoption of |sons| by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,” Ephesians 1:5 KJV

“See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called the children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him.” I John 3:1 ESV

This coveted inheritance is available to all who trust and believe in God’s Son, Jesus Christ for their righteousness, and forgiveness of their sins. Then you too, will have the pedigree making you a recipient of the coveted inheritance, which is Christ.
