Blurring the Lines

Let me say this, just because we try to blur the lines of demarcation does not mean that the lines are erased.

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. 28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. Genesis 1:27-28 KJV

It does not matter that I agree with it, accept it or even believe that the Bible is true. The Bible proclaims that God created the heavens and the earth. This is his world and he gets to design it according to his purposes for which we may never understand. It’s his purposes.

We are living in a time, where as much as possible we are trying to remove all distinctions that God intended. He made man distinctly male, and female distinctly female. He made them to replenish the earth with other males and females, and to subdue the earth, and exercise dominion over all living creatures in the sea and upon land.

Man was made to be till the land, be the provider. Woman was made to be his helper, yes, bear children, keep the home. Whoa! This is so out of date and very old fashioned! We have moved way past this, right? Today, we like to say that a woman can do everything that a man can do, right? (I know that I will be lambasted for even saying this out loud, but this really was God’s original design. But this post is not about that.)

The Bible also says that God does not change. Yes, some will chime in “well how come…, what about…”? He is a merciful and gracious God, which is why I believe that he hasn’t yet pronounced overall judgment, unlike he has rendered in many circumstances in the Bible.

Because we are blurring the lines, we are having this crazy fight over gender identity, and which bathroom is appropriate for whom. It doesn’t matter how one feels, or identifies; the public bathrooms are designed to accommodate both genders, male and female; and except in extenuating circumstances, we were all assigned either male or female organs. Because there is a bathroom for each gender, I am failing to see the discrimination.

Furthermore, why are we dealing with this anyway? It is my understanding there are no complainants, and to show proof of how ridiculous this is, the former Bruce Jenner, who now identifies as Caitlyn, after hearing Donald Trump suggests that Caitlyn could use the bathroom of his/her choice. After hearing that, Jenner said that he/she would use the ladies bathroom in the Trump Towers. Which bathroom was Jenner using before? Have we just opened a Pandora’s box?

Today, the U. S. Attorney General in filing lawsuit against North Carolina, tells the transgender community: “We see you.”  I know that sounds good, and appears to be the right position to take; but to me this looks like we are traveling down a slippery slope that I am afraid will be even harder to come up from.

There are consequences to any choice we exercise that is not in line with God’s purposes.

These things hast thou done, and I kept silence; thou thoughtest that I was altogether such an one as thyself: but I will reprove thee, and set them in order before thine eyes. Psalm 50:21 KJV

Once we start blurring lines, things really do get confusing, and chaotic. We need to remember that we live in God’s world.

      1. Hahaha Only offensive for some. It’s sad that often controversial IS offensive these days..but that’s okay. Personally I love the people who are willing to speak up and listen when others don’t agree. And I was challenged by your post. In a good way! SO thanks.

  1. Seems like whatever sin the world indorse, they have to find a rule or law to uphold it. This is because man does not look to God! They are changing the laws as they seem fit! Whichever way the tumbleweed blows our society follows. Very few appears to be taking a stand on what is written! Lord help us!!!

  2. I understand where you are coming from. However, the Word of God says that “times will wax and worse.” This is just a part of that. Things will not be the same as they were. And, homosexuality is not a new thing. At this point, as believers, we must pray. Some will hear, others will not. While we as believers do not agree with everything going on in the world today, it is still necessary that we pray for those who are ready and willing to be saved. The rest is in God’s hands. He has the whole world in His hands, the just and the unjust.

    1. Yes. The new is that we are legislating sin as right; whereas, before, we knew and acknowledge sin as sin, since it did not meet societal norms, we kept it “in the closet”, or secret, like affairs. The U S Attorney General is calling to making sin a right. This is nonsense. Sorry, my two-cents. Don’t think that I am not praying for our country, world. I am praying we repent, and God forgives us.
